Welcome to North Florida SPIN

A Software and Systems Process Improvement Network (SPIN) is an organization for professionals dedicated to the improvement of software and systems engineering. The North Florida SPIN serves Tallahassee and Jacksonville Florida, and cooperates with the Melbourne Florida SPIN.

North Florida SPIN is also affiliated with the Centers for Information and National Security, or the CINSec: www.cinsec.org, the International Systems Security Association: https://www.issa.org/ and the Security Policy Institute: http://www.secpolicyinstitute.org, and of course with Carnegie Mellon University’s Software Engineering Institute: http://www.sei.cmu.edu/spin/.

Because our SPIN organization has become dispersed with members all across the state, we now host our meetings via Webinar, with an annual conference that physically alternates between Tallahassee, Jacksonville, and Melbourne Florida. For conference announcements and registration information, see the “Speaking Events” and “Conferences” pages at: http://www.secpolicyinstitute.org for topics, events, and dates specifically related to the North Florida SPIN. Also see further announcement details on the “Announcements” of the http://www.cinsec.org Website.

As with other SPIN organizations, there is an annual fee to join North Florida SPIN. This fee covers Webinar conferences and newsletters, along social media connections. The yearly conference has an additional fee to attend –while it is open to everyone, the North Florida SPIN members receive a 50% discount.

For more information about the North Florida SPIN, contact the North Florida SPIN Director, Dr. Michael Workman, by email at: info@cinsec.org
